Tow Firsts for Tadano in Australia

(25 December, 2003)

Australian distributor for Tadano cranes, James Equipment, scored a double victory recently when they delivered a Tadano GT550E to Greg Hinspeter.

The delivery represented the first Tadano GT550E sold in Australia and the first new Tadano crane to be sold by James Equipment since their appointment as Australian distributor.

And to mark the occasion, Mr. Minoru Sakuta (General Manager Tadano International Headquarters) was on hand in Melbourne for the handover, which was made at the annual CICA Crane Conference.

Greg Hingspeter operates a substantial crane rental company in Townsville (Queensland) servicing the construction, mining and engineering sectors.

According to Brendan James of James Equipment, the attributes of the Tadano GT550E sold itself.

"There are some big distances to cover in Queensland,so the 83km/h ground speed of the Tadano was important to our customer," Brendan said.
"The versatility of the hydraulic truck mounted crane and 42m boom were also key factors behind the purchase."

"Overall the low purchase price of the Tadano GT550E against an all terrain crane and lower maintenance costs of the Tadano proved the Tadano to be the best deal going. Our client Hingspeter Cranes is a very happy customer."
