*Rough Terrain Crane
The rough terrain crane is a self-propelled crane that can travel and be operated from a single driver’s seat. It is one of the most popular cranes in urban construction projects because of its excellent mobility in narrow spaces, compactness, and small turning radius.<\/small>
*CREVO
The CREVO is a word coined from CRANE and EVOLUTION. This is the fifth generation of the CREVO series since its development in 1995. The CREVO160 G5 follows the CREVO250 G5 that was released in September of last year, and is the second entry in the G5 Series.<\/small><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Development Concept<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

\u3000<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This model retains the compact body size of the earlier model, while extending the maximum length of the boom by 50 cm to 28.0 m. New functions during crane operation have reduced CO2 emissions and fuel consumption, and a diesel engine which complies with EU Stage V emission standards has been adopted. In addition, visibility while traveling and operating has been improved, delivering comfortable and safe operations.
As the digital shift in the construction and building industry progresses, Tadano is also working to strengthen its digital data and digital services in order to provide “Lifting Solution” that goes beyond “Lifting Equipment”.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Features<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

– Retaining a compact body while improving the efficiency of high lift work<\/strong>
This model retains the same vehicle dimensions and weight as the earlier model while extending the maximum boom length by 50 cm to 28.0 m. In combination with the 6.9 m power tilt jib, this helps improve the efficiency of high lift work.\u3000


– Environmental considerations and operational efficiency improvement<\/strong>
New functions, which are aimed at improving operational efficiency and considering the environment, include “automatic acceleration”*1<\/sup>\u00a0that controls engine speed according to the amount of crane lever operation, and “automatic pump stop”*2<\/sup>\u00a0that stops the PTO pump when the crane is not being operated in order to reduce CO2 emissions and fuel consumption. At the same time, a new-generation diesel engine which complies with EU Stage V emission standards has been adopted.
*1:The engine speed is controlled automatically and is linked with the amount of lever\/pedal operation when the crane is being operated. This makes it possible to adjust the speed of crane work using only the lever, without operating the accelerator pedal. In addition, because the engine speed increases more efficiently compared to constantly depressing the accelerator pedal, fuel consumption and engine noise are also reduced.
*2: When the automatic pump stop switch is turned ON and the crane is not used for a certain period of time, the PTO pump is automatically turned OFF, reducing fuel consumption.<\/small><\/p>\n\n\n\n

– Tadano View System with improved visibility<\/strong>
Improvements have been made to the Tadano View System that supports safe driving and operation. A new rear left view camera, slewing table rear view camera, and slewing table rear left view camera have been added, for a total of five cameras as standard equipment. Up to three patterns for the camera selections on the large-size display can be registered, providing support for checking safety in the surrounding area.
The “human alert system” that detects and warns the driver when people are present has also been improved for a better detection rate, improving visibility and safety while driving.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

– High-performance operation space<\/strong>
The crane operating information and various operation setting functions are concentrated on a large 12.1-inch color touchscreen panel. The LCD panel uses materials that prevent scatter reflection and condensation, and are resistant to impact. Because the touchscreen panel is an electrostatic capacitance type, it can be operated in a way that feels similar to a smartphone.
Improvements to the electrical operating system also produce operability with an all-new feeling of a perfect fit. In addition to previous speed adjustments, Feeling Operation allows precise control adjustments that match the operator’s perception. More advanced sensitivity adjustment has also been adopted.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

– Setup radio controller (option)<\/strong>
“Setup radio controller” has been fully renovated to allow safe and efficient work preparation and machine retracting while checking the surrounding conditions. A large 2.7-inch reflection-type color screen ensures high visibility even outdoors on a sunny day. The hand-held radio controller can be operated to extend and retract outrigger beams and jacks, stow booms (hook-in), and mount and stow jibs.
* The operations that can be performed by Setup radio controller are only work preparation and machine retracting work. Radio controller cannot be used for crane operation.<\/small><\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
